About Brandon T. Jackson

Brandon T. Jackson is a multifaceted young actor carving his own path in Hollywood. Earning critical praise, he started out in stand-up comedy and has evolved into a burgeoning young film and television star. He won Black Reel’s 2006 Best Breakthrough Performance award for his part in Fox Searchlight’s “Roll Bounce.” Daily Variety named him one of “10 Comics to Watch” and in 2011 Hollywood Reporter named him to their prestigious “35 under 35: Next Gen” list.

Brandon recently co-starred in the Lifetime TV movie “Love by the 10th Date,” which premiered in January 2017. He can also be seen co-starring in the psychological thriller “Eloise,” released in February 2017. Additionally, Brandon recently starred and executive produced the series “Living With Funny,” a docu-series which aired on Oxygen Network.

Jackson received rave reviews for his role as the satyr Grover Underwood in “Percy Jackson, The Lightning Thief” (2010) and “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” (2013). He starred opposite Kevin Durant in “Thunderstruck” and Martin Lawrence in “Big Momma’s House 3” (2011), and co-starred in Warner Bros.’ “Lottery Ticket.” He’s perhaps best known as Alpha Chino in “Tropic Thunder,” earning a Best Supporting Actor nomination from the Black Reel Awards. On TV, he starred in Hulu’s “Deadbeat” and NBC’s “Mr. Robinson.”

Growing up in Detroit with seven siblings and pastor parents, Jackson now lives in Los Angeles and tours the country as a headlining comedian, blending humor from his suburban and inner-city roots.
